ingredients

  • 1 Sachet of Elixir of Serenity
  • 2oz Water
  • 1oz Pomegranate juice
  • 0.5oz Lime juice
  • 3oz Dry ginger ale
  • 1oz Vodka (omit for mocktail)
  • Pink grapefruit wedge garnish 

preparation

  1. Combine powders with water in a cocktail shaker and stir to dissolve
  2. Add pomegranate and lime juice to the pitcher and stir
  3. Fill the glass with ice, and carefully add the ginger ale
  4. Slowly layer the liquid in the pitcher over the ginger ale
  5. Add garnish and enjoy!

What’s your shimmer made of?

Our shimmer is magic! Just kidding, it’s a food-grade mineral powder called Mica. The pearlescent sparkle has no flavor or effects, but it is whimsical. We included it because potions should shimmer, don’t you think?

How much sugar is in your elixirs?

Little to none! The Elixirs of Serenity and Inner Light both have 0 sugar, and the Elixir of Hydration has 2 grams from coconut sugar.
Will I feel the benefits of the elixirs?

That’s our intention, yes. With the Elixir of Hydration, electrolytes will flood your system for a refreshing burst of hydration, and the Elixir of Serenity will promote a calming, floaty feeling without drowsiness. The Elixir of Inner Light is made with ingredients whose benefits build over time. By drinking daily, you’ll feel more uplifted and resilient.*
Where is Velvet Hammer made?

Our elixirs are scientifically formulated and made in the U.S. In addition to having our ingredients third-party tested, we care deeply about quality control and work closely with our partners to ensure every elixir meets our standards.*
How to use
Are these safe to drink every day?

Yes! All of our formulas are designed for daily use. The functional ingredients (vitamins, adaptogens, electrolytes) are at safe, effective doses. As with any supplement, consult your doctor if you're pregnant, nursing, or on medication.
What should I mix these with?

You have all the power! Our elixirs will effortlessly dissolve in any beverage. Add to sparkling water for a festive fizz, to coconut water for extra hydration, teas for a more dynamic layer, or something stronger if you’re feeling it.

In a word, readers. We’re obsessed with Romantasy and Fantasy, escaping into another realm, and bringing that whimsy to our world. Our founder’s name is Gabby, and you can learn more about our journey to Velvet Hammer on the Our Story page.

The name Velvet Hammer comes from a leadership term coined in the 80s. It’s a glorious power with a gentle touch, like long red nails caressing a boardroom table… or a velvet hammer.
