The stories we love give us a profound sense of possibility. Our favorite characters discover their innate capabilities, that the power to shape their path was within them all along. And even though their world is far from ours, the feelings are real. That’s why we can’t put them down. 

Velvet Hammer was built in reverence to that real-life, “one more chapter,” moment. To make the ritual of getting lost in a great book even more euphoric, and give you the power to carry that feeling with you anywhere. 

The name Velvet Hammer comes from a leadership term coined in the 80s. It’s a glorious power with a gentle touch, like long red nails caressing a boardroom table… or a velvet hammer. We’re inspired by the journeys of main characters who claim their strength on their own terms, and we’re here to champion that in the same spirit in you.

Whether you’re writing your story or escaping to another realm, we hope our elixirs bring a little more fantasy to your everyday. Made by readers, for readers, this series is just getting started.
